ABOUT ME

I'm an applied economist with a Ph.D. from the Paris School of Economics (PSE). My interests span economic mobility, income distribution, measurement, public economics, and education. I hold two master's degrees in economics, one from PSE (MRes in Quantitative Economics) and another from UPF (MSc in Economics). My recent experience includes teaching Statistics at the Paris Institute of Political Studies (SciencesPo Paris) and Université Sorbonne Nouvelle.

My empirical work focuses on well-being metrics and the evaluation of public policies, particularly in the fields of development economics, applied economics, impact evaluation, and labor economics.

I've served as a Research Officer at the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI) at the University of Oxford, and as a research coordinator at the UNDP. I have experience as a public official working on poverty measurement for the Mexican government and have consulted for various private, public, and international institutions. Some of my research has been published in book chapters and international academic journals, and I've been honored with national awards in Mexico for my work.

I work for the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) within the Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation (GPEDC). Throughout my tenure at the OECD, I've provided critical support to multiple departments, including RREDI, GPP, and the CoP on Poverty and Inequality. I have played a pivotal role in proposing and implementing substantial enhancements to the GPEDC methodology, which included refining the conceptual framework, improving indicator construction and formalizing the methodological documentation, and optimizing questionnaire design. I have automated the production of statistical content for peer reviews conducted by the RREDI team. In addition, my contributions to the statistical analysis within the CoP on Poverty and Inequality have yielded valuable insights, supporting informed decision-making.
