" Visiting the PSE is always exciting. It has become a hub for research on social and economic networks, and so the visit was particularly interesting. Gabrielle Demange and Francis Bloch organized an excellent workshop in which participants presented fresh and on-going research relating to network economics. I also enjoyed meeting many students and colleagues and talk about their projects ranging from network patterns of international trade, to econometrics of network formation, to the field work on networks in developing countries, to the allocation of production in dynamic networks. Francis Bloch and I had some time to work together on an ongoing project trying to understand various measures of centrality and influence of nodes as a function of their position in networks. I also had the opportunity to give a talk in the Parisian Game Theory Seminar, and connect with many friends and other researchers in the area.
Paris is an amazing city to visit - especially for me having spent some years here as a child - it is a vibrant place: full of history, culture, and energy. It is great to see the strong research community coming together, and to see the Paris School of Economics becoming more than the sum of its parts."
