Scientific integrity

Research activity must be conducted on the basis of the best international practice. The minimal professional ethic imposed on PSE members is to tolerate neither scientific fraud nor plagiarism, nor falsification of data. Any sign of a violation of this fundamental principle will immediately trigger an investigation by PSE bodies and sanctions will be imposed where appropriate.

Co-authorship, and the collecting of data and making them available to colleagues and to the broader academic community must also respect these ethical principles. Existing rules for the maintenance of the confidentiality of collected data must be strictly followed.

The Paris School of Economics (PSE) has an Institutional Review Board (IRB), registered with the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Its purpose is to ensure compliance with ethics for research involving human subjects. More about the IRB.
