A French Grande Ecole, Ecole des Ponts ParisTech has been training high-level engineers, future leaders and researchers since 1747, capable of meeting the challenges of society and transforming it. In addition to civil engineering and land use planning, which have historically made its prestige, the School develops training and research of excellence related to the challenges of the energy transition. École des Ponts ParisTech offers a very high level of general engineering training. Taking up the major challenges of society is part of the history of the École and continues to guide it. Thus, building a future in a world that is becoming aware that resources are limited and that human activities impact the environment on a global scale is a formidable challenge that the young generations trained at the École des Ponts ParisTech will have to take up.
