The Paris School of Economics (PSE) is opening a position for a researcher specializing in international trade, with a focus on trade policy. PSE will consider candidates with a track record of publications in the best international journals in this field and/or experience in applied trade policy. Advantage will be given to candidates with proven experience in obtaining research grants from national and international institutions.
Both academic economists with the willingness to develop applied research, as well as economists from international institutions wishing to rely more heavily on academic research, are encouraged to apply.
If recruited, the candidate is expected to conduct rigorous research on the practical challenges of international trade policy, developing this topic within PSE, as well as developing partnerships with governments, international organizations and large companies around this topic.
Recruitment will be based on a permanent (CDI) academic position offered by one of PSEs partner institutions. The position may be junior or senior, according to the experience and the leve l of scientific publications. The PSE Foundation will supplement the basic remuneration with a contract indexed on the impact in terms of evaluation of international policies and on the volume of external grants and contracts obtained by the researcher. A competitive salary based on European standards will be offered.
