Karine Van der Straeten is awarded the Bronze Medal of the CNRS

Karine Van der Straeten, Associate Professor at PSE, has been awarded the Bronze Medal of the CNRS.}} Her research covers the areas of Collective Decision-Making (Electoral Competition and Voting Rules) and Public Economics (Optimal Taxation and Social Safety Nets).

The Bronze Medal is awarded by the CNRS each year to acknowledge the work of young researchers who have become specialists in their domain. It is presented as an encouragement to continue work on productive research areas. In 2009, 40 Medals were awarded across 9 different disciplines.
