Call for applications for the Economics of International Migration Chair | 4th year of PhD funding

Presentation of the Chair:

The Edmond de Rothschild Group and the Paris School of Economics have created the Economics of International Migration Chair to develop research activities aimed at improving knowledge of international migration. The Chair conducts academic work based on historical and contemporary data to better understand the motivations and implications of international migration, both for the global economic system and for home and host countries. Among its activities, the Chair funds 4th year PhD theses as part of its research dynamics.

Application form:

The application is composed of the candidate’s CV, the transcript of grades from the first and second year of the Master’s programme, two pages presenting the thesis and the 4th year’s research project, a cover letter, a letter of support from the thesis supervisor and possibly a second letter of recommendation.

Selection procedure:
The application must be sent before May 15, 2024 in electronic format to antoine.beillevaire at psemail.eu mentioning in the header of the email “CHAIR MIG: 4th year”.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to present their research project in an audition at the Paris School of Economics or by Zoom before the end of May.

The International Migration Economics Chair aims to create a place open to society in order to disseminate, share and discuss the findings of scientific studies on a major societal issue. It will conduct rigorous work based on historical and contemporary data to better understand the motivations and implications of international migration for the global economy as well as for receiving and sending countries.
