Economics serving society

World development report 2023 | 24 May

The International migration economics Chair is pleased to invite you to the presentation of the World development report 2023 entitled “Migrants, refugees and societies” by Çağlar Özden, lead economist at the World Bank and one of the three editors of the report with Xavier Devictor and Quy-Toan Do.

The 2023 World development report (WDR) combines insights from labor economics and international law to present a holistic perspective on migration – one that recognizes the humanity of migrants and the complexity of the societies of origin and destination. The report proposes a framework to best manage the economic, societal and human impacts of migration.

Register to participate to a high-level discussion exploring how migration can be a positive force for development, bringing benefits for migrants as well as for receiving and sending countries.
