La science économique au service de la société

Les soumissions sont ouvertes jusqu’au 28 février pour la conférence RUD 2019, Paris

PNG - 267.8 ko

This year D-TEA (Decision : Theory, Experiments, Applications) and RUD (Risk, Utility, and Decision) will collocate in Paris, over the week of June 3-7, 2019.

We will have 2.5 days of D-TEA followed by 2.5 days of RUD.

The RUD conference will be held at the Paris School of Economics.

General information about the RUD conference

RUD is interested in theories of decision-making under uncertainty, asking how people make or should make decisions in the face of uncertainty. RUD is defined by question as well as method. It emphasizes formal, mathematical approaches to the problem, preferably at a level of generality and abstraction that can serve as a basis for a wide range of applications — both for concrete choice situations and for theoretical work in the social sciences. There is a special interest in the mathematical and philosophical foundations of theories, and, in particular, in axiomatic work. RUD is not wedded to a particular model or class of models, and it encourages new approaches to the problem, including models of bounded rationality. RUD audience is also interested in other methodologies such as empirical and experimental work, neuroscience or philosophical studies.

Submission process

With the goal of promoting interaction, the RUD conference have no parallel sessions, and limit talks to be relatively short (30-40 minutes).

While D-TEA and RUD remain independent conferences, the organizing committees will make sure that there be no overlap between the programs. Authors can submit a paper to one or both conferences, and in the latter case also to mention which conference they prefer to present the paper in case of double acceptance. The organizing committees will try to coordinate the acceptance decisions so as to accommodate such preferences, but cannot guarantee to do so.

Papers for the RUD conference should be submitted by February 28, 2019 to rud.conference chez gmail.com
