Following an open call for candidates, the Cepremap Board has appointed Claudia Senik as director of Cepremap. She succeeds Daniel Cohen, director from 2005 to 2023.

Professor at the Paris School of Economics and at Sorbonne University, Claudia Senik is director of the Observatoire du bien-être. Until now, she was deputy director of Cepremap.

The Centre pour la recherche économique et ses applications is under the supervision of the Ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche. Its mission is to act as an interface between the academic world and public decision-makers.

According to Benoît Cœuré, president of the Cepremap: “Cepremap plays a key role in bringing economic research to bear on public debate in France, Europe and the rest of the world. I wish Claudia every success as she leads a new phase in Cepremap’s development in a spirit of exploration and openness, true to Daniel Cohen’s approach.”
