Budget Conference 2024 | November 27

As every year, on the occasion of the examination in Parliament of the bills of finance and financing of the social security for 2024, the Institut des politiques publiques (IPP) and the Macroeconomics Observatory of the Centre pour la recherche économique et ses applications (Cepremap) join forces to propose to all (media, parliamentarians, institutions, civil society, citizens) keys to reading on the main orientations of public policies of the government.

4:30pm: Introduction by Claudia Senik, interim director of the Cepremap and Antoine Bozio, director the Institut des politiques publiques

  • Part I: “Quelles sont les incertitudes autour du projet de loi de finances pour 2024 ?” by François Langot, director of the Observatory of Macroeconomy of the Cepremap, affiliated researcher at PSE and professor at Le Mans University
  • Part II: “Quelles implications de l’indexation sur l’inflation du barème de l’impôt sur le revenu ?” by Brice Fabre, director of the household taxation unit of the IPP and Sylvain Duchesne, economist at the IPP
  • Part III: “Une contribution à l’évaluation « carbone » du budget” by Paul Dutronc-Postel, director of the IPP’s environment division, and Rachel Paya, economist at the IPP and PhD student at the ESSEC Business School

6:00pm: Parliamentary round table with Éric Coquerel, chairman of the Finance Committee of the National Assembly and Jean-René Cazeneuve, general budget rapporteur. The round table will be animated by François Lenglet (journalist at RTL, TF1 and LCI).

7:00pm: Questions and answers then cocktail
