Countries affected by armed conflict suffer long-term impacts and sometimes face real challenges in rebuilding. In this video, François Bourguignon explains the process of financing reconstruction programs, especially in countries whose governance is relatively weak.
François Bourguignon is emeritus professor at the Paris School of Economics. After years of research on issues of poverty, inequality and development, he became chief economist and vice-president of the World Bank before becoming the director of the Paris School of Economics.
