How can we assess the impact of consumer preferences on their standard of living in the context of climate transition? Craig Pesme looks at several common, complementary indicators, including growth measurement and gross domestic product (GDP), and examines their biases.

Craig Pesme is a PhD student at the Paris School of Economics and at the École normale supérieure - PSL. His research focuses on the economics of well-being and the measurement of living standards by traditional statistical indicators such as GDP, particularly in a context of ecological transition.
