I am a postdoctoral fellow within the Urban Economics, History and Society unit. I obtained my PhD in Sociology at the Centre for Research on Social Inequalities (CRIS) at Sciences Po in Paris in November 2023. I am also affiliated to the Centre for Social Science Research at University of Cape Town (UCT).
I use both quantitative and qualitative methods and I am interested in different research topics across the urban spectrum and across the global North and South:
- Urban segregation and neighbourhood inequality
- Neighbourhood effects on educational and political outcomes across the life course
- Smart cities and the reproduction of inequalities
- Climate change and individual behaviours across cities and regions
- Infrastructural deprivation or precarity
Urban-rural migration patterns
Re-development strategies for urban and non-urban areas
