The diversification of transport modes and new challenges such as environmental impact and new user behaviours are raising many questions about urban development.
In this interview, Dominique Bureau and Philippe Gagnepain offer an overview of the prospects for improving urban mobility.
Dominique Bureau is general delegate of the commission de l’économie du développement durable (CEDD) at the ministère de la transition écologique. He is Chairman of the autorité de la statistique publique and of the comité pour l’économie verte. He is also a lecturer at the école polytechnique and chairman of the steering committee of the Sustainable Development Chair.
Philippe Gagnepain is a professor at the Paris School of Economics and the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. He is also co-holder of the Urban New Deal Chair at PSE. His work focuses on competition policy, industrial dynamics and innovation, transportation economics, and contract theory and mechanism design.
