Morten O. Ravn

Morten O. Ravn is a Professor of Economics at UCL. He is a Fellow of Econometric Society, a Fellow of the European Economic Association, and an Advanced ERC Grantee. He is also a Co-Editor of the Econometric Society journal Quantitative Economics and serves as the Chairman of the Publications Committee of the Royal Economic Society. He is a member of Selection Board of Riksbankens Jubileumsfond. He holds a cand.oecon (MSc in Economics) degree from the University of Aarhus and a PhD degree from the University of Southampton.

Prior to joining UCL, Morten has held positions at the University of Southampton (1995-1997 and 2007-2009) European University Institute (2004-2008), London Business School (1999-2004), Universitat Pompeu Fabra (1997-1999) and at the University of Aarhus (1994-1995). His research has been published in journals such as the American Economic Review, Econometrica, the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Monetary Economics, Review of Economics and Statistics, and many others. He has been the supervisor of more than 40 PhD students.

The International Macroeconomics Chair is the result of a partnership between the Banque de France and PSE. Sharing the same vision about scientific needs on international issues, these two organisations joint their efforts to build a chair with the objective of fostering the development of research on the financial & monetary international system, and in international Macroeconomics.

This event is part of the Doctorissimes 2025, a series of conferences featuring research presentations by PhD students from all areas of the economy.
