The Paris School of Economics is glad to invite you to the 2025 edition of the conference on Women's Issues in Transportation.

This project aims to initiate a history of the introduction and development of the question of women and gender in the studies and theories related to transport systems and mobility. They examine the demand for transport for all modes of transport, the exposure to risk or even the conditions of exercise of transport-related professions.

By relying on a method of individual interviews and testimonies, this project aims to understand the consequences of the introduction of the question of women’s mobility on:

  • The historical analysis, the development of new methodological tools but also their dissemination within the academic community.
  • The definition and implementation of transport policies at the level of operators, decision-makers, local and national public authorities, and their articulation with other public policies related to employment, health, and education.
