The theme of the Congress is “resources”, one of the major challenges facing the contemporary world. The Congress will feature sessions on all categories of resources, i.e. natural, material, immaterial and human (labor and skills): water, air, energy, food products, raw materials, labor, capital, patents and more.
The organizing committee welcomes a wide range of approaches to economic history, including social history, urban and rural history, the history or economics of finance, science and technology, gender history, cultural history, etc., as well as crossovers with other disciplinary fields, including management studies, demography, geography, environment, anthropology, sociology, socio-psychology, etc. – and crossovers with other disciplinary fields, including management studies, demography, geography, the environment, anthropology, sociology, socio-psychology, etc. It also invites panels on methods in economic history, the history of economic thought or economic theory, as well as innovative discussions on new data sets and archives, or the public communication of new (or renewed) results in economic history.
