The first prize for the best economics book by the French Economic Association (AFSE) was awarded to Luc Behaghel, professor at the Paris School of Economics and director of research at INRAE, for his book “Économie de l’éducation“, co-authored with Julien Grenet, professor at the Paris School of Economics and director of research at the CNRS, and Marc Gurgand, professor at the Paris School of Economics and director of research at the CNRS.
The awards ceremony was followed by a conference organised as part of the matinale de l’économie 2024 on the theme “How can we improve the performance of our education system?”. The speakers included:
- Luc Behaghel, professor at the Paris School of Economics and director of research at INRAE
- Jean-François Chanet, university professor
- Gabrielle Fack, associate researcher at the Paris School of Economics and professor at the Université Paris Dauphine-PSL
- Yannick Trigance, Île de France regional councillor – Member of the lycée commission
