Summer School : Summer School : A Look Back at the 2025 Edition

From June 9 to 27, 2025, the Paris School of Economics hosted the 2025 edition of the Summer School, welcoming participants from around the world for three weeks of advanced economic training.

2025 edition in numbers

This year, 179 participants took part in one of the 10 intensive programs, covering a wide range of topics such as microeconometrics and policy evaluation, climate change, bounded rationality in decisions and games, and gender diversity in economics.

• 72% were students or PhD candidates.
• 28% were professionals, working in central banks, government ministries, NGOs, or the private sector.
• Participants represented 54 nationalities, highlighting the program’s international reach.
• More than 50 professors and professionals led the courses, including many affiliated with PSE and world-renowned institutions.

Through its diversity and advanced programs, the PSE Summer School has become a key event for those seeking to acquire cutting-edge economic tools and insights.

An academic and human experience

Participants consistently praised the quality of the lectures, the relevance of the content, and the many opportunities to connect with faculty members and peers.

Highlights of the 2025 edition included:

• A boat tour offering a unique perspective of Paris from the Seine.
• Social gatherings fostering open dialogue and long-lasting connections.
• A research workshop, where participants had the opportunity to present their own papers.
