Research group presentation

This group is devoted to development economics. It aims to improve understanding of the effectiveness of public policies in developing countries, by analysing state-building and capacity-building and by taking into account the specific characteristics of the environment and households that these public actions affect. A wide range of low- and middle-income countries is studied, with an emphasis on agricultural and environmental issues. A special effort is made to collect high-quality data. Many projects are collaborations between researchers and PhD students. Every year, foreign economists are welcomed for academic visits.
