The group members address individual and collective behavior and choice, and public policy, with a particular focus on the psychological, cognitive and sociological mechanisms of decision-making, the formation and impact of individual and collective preferences, and the normative criteria underpinning public policy choices. Their subjects of study include: the environment; health; food; sport; time and wealth management; happiness; civic participation; trust and ethics; individual identity; market functioning; networks… The methods used range from the most theoretical (theories of risk, collective choice and normativity, social philosophy) to the most applied (econometric techniques), including experimental economics, neuro-economics and traditional survey methods.
