Economics for everybody : Public transport fare policies and energy transition by Jean Coldefy and Carine Staropoli

An engineer by training, Jean Coldefy is director of programs at ATEC ITS France, president of the think tank of the Union Routière de France and advisor to the president of Transdev. He was also a local elected official for 12 years. He is a member of the scientific committee of France Mobilités and participated in the drafting of the law on the orientation of mobility. He assists companies and local authorities in their mobility projects. He lectures in several colleges and universities.

Carine Staropoli is a professor at the Paris School of Economics where she co-directs the Urban New Deal Chair and a senior lecturer at the university Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Her research focuses on the economics of contracts and regulation applied to energy and public procurement. She uses experimental economics to analyse electricity consumption and mobility behaviours.
