A very limited number of excellence scholarships will be awarded by PSE to exceptional candidates entering the first year of the Master PPD. These scholarships aim to provide better study conditions at PSE for highly promising students. The scholarships amount to 12,000 euros for the first year (1,200 euros per month from September to June). They can be extended by an additional 12,000 euros if the student continues into the second year of the Master’s at PSE, provided their GPA in the first year is equal to or greater than the average GPA of the cohort. When applying for the master, candidates must submit a specific application, which includes a CV and a cover letter.

Similarly, with the same objective, some excellence scholarships will also be awarded by PSE to highly promising students entering directly into the second year of the Master PPD. These scholarships are also 12,000 euros for the second year (1,200 euros per month from September to June). When applying, candidates must submit a specific application, which includes a CV and a cover letter.

Depending on your nationality, you may also be eligible for financial aid from various institutions (central banks, embassies, foundations, etc.). We invite you to explore the various possibilities on EHESS and Campus France websites.

Each year, the Master PPD offers 30 places in M1 and 5-10 places in M2 (in addition to graduates of M1).

The PPD Master’s program aims for academic excellence and is therefore selective in terms of admission. On average, 10-15% of applications are accepted for M1 and 5-10% for direct admission to M2.

No. It’s a full-time initial training program.

However, in exceptional cases, some candidates may be able to stagger their studies, allowing them an additional year to complete their Master’s degree. Please note, however, that staggered study is not automatically approved and requires the approval of the program director. In total, only one additional year may be granted (the Master’s degree must be completed in a maximum of three years from M1 or two years from M2).

Candidates wishing to take advantage of this option should make this clear as early as the application process, with a letter of motivation.

Applications must be submitted in English or French. An official transcript is required for all other languages.

Once you have completed and validated your application, you will receive an automatic confirmation email.

By logging on regularly to your candidate space, you will be able to check the status of your application: pending, accepted, refused, missing documents…

During the examination of the application, the transcripts are not sufficient to give an idea of the content of the courses that the candidates have taken during their previous studies. Therefore, in order for the jury to be able to assess whether your previous studies correspond to the PPD Master’s degree, you must provide a detailed description of the courses you have taken.

When you complete your online application, you will be asked to provide some details about your referees, including their email addresses. Once you have validated this information, they will receive an email with a link to a page where they can submit their letters. Make sure you inform your referees before you enter and validate their details.

No. The one and only platform for applications is PSE Application. However, if you need to follow the Campus France procedure for you visa, you should also create a separate application on their platform.

Candidates can apply to more than one master program at PSE at the same time. In this case, they need to submit separate applications for each program. Each program has an independent admission jury, so applying to one program does not affect the chances of being accepted in another program. Some candidates may be admitted to more than one program.
